  • I will play soccer because I want to, not because others want me to.
  • I will play by the rules and regulations of Ontario soccer.
  • I will show respect at all times to my coaches, club, referees, players.
  • I will control my temper. I will not fight or use foul language and inappropriate gestures.
  • I will be a team player.
  • If I am found to be behaving badly, my coach is permitted to remove me from the event.
  • My actions may permit the club from suspending me from soccer activities
  • I will never take part in a practice, game or team event while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
  • I will not take part in any form of bullying, either to an opposing player or to a player on my team. Bullying in any form, whether in person, electronically (any form of social media) will not be tolerated.

  • Will not in anyway in the presence of coaching staff and administrators yell or physically punish my child for lack of play or mistake made during a scrimmage.
  • I will respect all coaching staff and players during practices and games. Any physical or verbal abuse will lead to expulsion from the team/club and forfeit any fee paid.
  • I must respect the referee's authority and the opposing team during an official game, scrimmage or friendly.
  • I will not bully others or diminish the performance of my teammates on the field.
  • I will support my childs club and teammates as well as his coach and trainers.
  • I will acknowledge all good play - that of my child and his/her teammates and that of the opponents.
  • If I have an issue with the coach I will only discuss it with him/her only after 24 hours cooling period has passed and in the presence of the team manager as well. If the issue is not addressed then the aforementioned issue can be brought up to the Board of Directors through club Liasion.
  • I will never bring alcohol or drugs to a practice area or game event.
  • I will not take part in any form of bullying, either to an opposing player or to a player on my team. Bullying in any form, whether in person, electronically (any form of social media) will not be tolerated.
  • Games and Practices

  • I recognize that practices and games are equaly important..
  • I will arrive at the field before practices and games according to the standards set by my team Coach.
  • If I cannot make a game or practice, I will notify the team Coach/Manager at least 48 hours in advance so that arrangements for substitutes can be made.
  • I realize that players who attend practices may get priority in the game starting line-up. Starting line-ups are based on several factors including attendance at practices, player's position, effort, attitude, etc.
  • I will turn off all electronic devices (cell phones, video games, etc.) before arrival at my practice, game or team event and leave them off until I am finished.
  • I realize that playing time is not always going to be equal despite my coaches attempt to equalize. I am aware that the club works on an "Earned Playing Time System".
  • I will leave all venues as neat and tidy as I found them and will remove all garbage from my area.
  • I will not get changed until game is over and my coach has said its ok. Changing prior to game completion without coaches permission could result in suspension.
  • My Uniform

  • I will take good care of my uniform and wear it only on game days.
  • I will ensure my jersey is tucked in at all times as required by the laws of the game.
  • I will wear shin guards, socks, appropriate footwear, and bring my own water bottle to all games and practices.
  • At practices I will wear approved attire, such as athletic shirt and shorts; as determined by my coach.
  • I must have my kit at all games.
  • I understand that; rolling up my shorts to reduce their size, wearing short tops to expose my midriff, or exposing my bare shoulders is inappropriate soccer attire.
  • I will abide by the EODSA rules and remove all jewellery for practices and games (except for medically approved bracelets and eye wear).

  • Always respect the child and make sure his or her needs are met.
  • Will never yell or direspect any player, club official or Referee.
  • Will uphold the clubs values and standards at all time.
  • Will Always promote the club and its standards to its players and parents. Protect the interests of the club and its philosophy from other organizations or clubs.
  • Will always take the childs development as a priority over winning.
  • Will meet all required certifications and courses mandated by the club.
  • Will always inform administrative staff if late or absent for training or game.
  • Will always be early for games and practices or make sure that the assistant or others that are club assigned coaches are made aware of any delay in arrival or early departure.
  • Discipline

  • I recognize that the team coach will handle infractions that occur at times other than during a game. The manager will take charge if the coach is served the infraction making him unable to handle the infractions.
  • I recognize that infractions that occur during the game are governed by the Laws of the Game and will be decided by the Referee. The result may be a Caution (yellow card) or Dismissal (red card), in which case there may also be further action, including suspensions or fines, by the league discipline committee.
  • I recognize that certain serious infractions will result in a discipline hearing convened by the Ontario Soccer Association or their delegate, and could lead to a worldwide suspension from soccer, and a fine being levied by the OSA. Payment of the fine is the responsibility of the person with the infraction (Player, Manager, Coach).
  • I am responsible for reimbursing the Club for any and all fines payable by the Club due to my actions or inactions. Failure to pay any fines will result in my suspension from the Club for an indefinite period of time.
  • Consequences

    If for any reason the Code of Conduct is not followed by the Coach or Manager, any [one or more] >of the following steps may be taken by the the Club after a hearing with the clubs disciplinary board:

  • 1 game suspension,
  • more than 1 game suspension and suspension of practice participation.
  • Removal of the coach/manager/player from the club.
  • Conclusion

    These rules and regulations are designed for the sole purpose of regulating and controling an environment that is condusive for development of a child in the sport environment. Remember we are here to grow the sport and develop the kids. Its their game. Our Elite level kids reach and attain their maximum potential when they have the desire to reach it, if its being forced or imposed it will never be reached as they will quit before it happens. Never forget the difference between guiding a child and pushing him.
